Alex has been designing websites for the past 7 years and has a strong level of knowledge in coding standards based, accessible websites using XHTML, CSS and PHP.
Alex is the lead front-end coding ape.
Donn Maguire:
Having studied new media creative design and media production, Donn has over 10 years of design experience behind him.
Donn is the graphic design ape.

Ian Huet:
A certified PHP developer, Ian has 6 years of web development and database design experience behind him and is constantly striving to improve his skill set to keep up to date with the latest web development possibilities.

Warren Daly:
Warren works as a technical manager for Opus.
Opus provides Pixelapes with Hosting & Network Solutions. Warren is highly experienced and has worked in I.T. for over 10 years. In previous positions he was responsible for infrastructure on some of the largest networks & on-line systems in the world. He currently oversees on-line marketing strategies and operations.
Warren is our linux and network monkey.
What’s in a name?
People have regularly asked us where our name comes from, and we felt it prudent to put a little information up about this.
- Pixel:
- Pixels are something that we work with day in, day out. Your computer screen is possibly made up of over a million pixels and being that every pixel counts, we wanted to reference this in our name.
- Apes:
- Well, everyone loves our primate cousins. It’s our origin (unless you don’t go in for the evolution thing).
- Pixelapes?
- A play on a graphic design term. When an image is resized over and over again it becomes pixelated. This is generally regarded as a bad thing, unless you love funky retro pixel designs!
