So, we’ve just updated our website to run on the newest version of Word Press, the open-source content publishing tool that we’re extremely fond of here at Pixelapes.

This new update has brought tags in as standard for Word Press allowing more room for creating relationships between items on our web site. Add a few nice little Word Press plug-ins to the mix and you’ve got a nice rounded update for the Pixelapes website!

Simple Tags

To ease the transition to a tagging system and speed up tag usage, we instantly came across this useful plugin which allows mass editing, auto-suggests tags, and generally speeds things up.

Not only does it help on that front, but it also offers the functionality to include “related posts” at the end of each post. This is something I’ve been meaning to do for quite a while and any previous plug-ins offering this required a little more work. Simple Tags works it all out for you, allowing you to let it pick the most likely related posts based on common tags.

In future you’ll now see a related articles section at the end of each post. Hopefully that might show you something you haven’t read before and with any luck, it just might be of interest to you!
